Arbitrum Orbit

Arbitrum Orbit is an open-source, permissionless Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS) framework provided by Offchain Labs, the creators of the Arbitrum Rollup. Built on the advanced Arbitrum Nitro technology stack, it enables developers to create and deploy custom Arbitrum Rollup or Arbitrum AnyTrust chains. Arbitrum Rollup is a public optimistic rollup protocol that powers Arbitrum One, Offchain Labs’ renowned Layer 2 network. Meanwhile, Arbitrum AnyTrust is a Layer 2 protocol optimized for low-cost, fast transactions, and it underpins Arbitrum Nova, another innovative scalability solution developed by the same team.

The development kit is highly customizable and modular, enabling developers to configure various aspects and components of a network, including:

• Selection of the data availability layer
• Governance model
• Sequencer mechanism
• Choice between general-purpose and app-specific networks
